i've been counting down to my big barkday and keeping my ears open for hush-hush mentions of cake and presents.

unfortunately, didn't hear anything about either. but guess what i heard instead?

my best playmate, lele, who only celebrated her first birthday last month, is pregnant! i nearly dropped my biscuit when i heard it! apparently, her beau is none other than her live-in boyfriend, lenny.

lele and lenny during one of our outings this year; were they just pretending not to care about each other? i wonder what colour their pups will be; will they be long-haired like lele or wire-haired like lenny?

i still can't believe it even as i am loading this pix and typing now! does this mean the end of our little girls' talk, rolls in the park and spontaneous games of tugs? i mean, lele is going to be a mother! she's now someone else's wife and will soon be very busy with her pups. gosh, i wonder if she knows what to do...

will she still allow me to nibble on the other end of her chew now that it's getting crowded?
